A Treatise On NARS Mounia

Well ... maybe not quite a treatise! When I hear people raving about their favorite NARS blushers, Mounia, my #1 is very rarely among them. Perhaps this is due to the fact that like other highly pigmented, intimidating NARS blushes (Taj Mahal, for instance) Mounia is not sold at Sephora making it much less accessible.

I can't remember how I first discovered this ruby gem. I think it may have been one of Lollipop26's videos (my how I miss them!), either way I immediately tracked down the blush after seeing several swatches and ordered.

How amazing is this blush? In my opinion the color is quite unique: it boasts the perfect balance of raspberry, cranberry, and burnt sienna like hues. Mounia is shimmery, but only slightly so, which translates to a lovely deep glowing blush on the cheeks.

I purchased this blush in late October thinking it was a color I'd wear only during the winter. I was partially right as I wore this color from October to February however, it's now spring and I still can't put this down!

During the winter, Mounia gives me a romantic flushed look that fits in wonderfully with the cold weather and my big scarves. The color makes me think of all things warm, mulled cider, hot coca etc. I'm slowly discovering, though, that this blush makes the transition between cold and warm weather very easily!

Have you tried NARS Mounia? What are your thoughts?
