Smooth Criminals: The Lipstick Bandits

You may have heard by now of a mysterious group of bloggers known as the Lipstick Bandits. These women share one very particular trait: the ability to inspire longing for lipstick in the hearts of their readers and fellow bloggers alike. I've long admired their Zorro-like lipstick wielding from afar, and have certainly succumbed to lipstick desire inspired by products featured in their posts and on their lips. I've recently been invited to join this group of pout painting outlaws and I naturally couldn't be more excited.

Finding the appropriate makeup for my "Masking Ceremony" was much easier said than done. The precedent set by these ladies is a difficult act to follow. I've been brainstorming for weeks: should I paint black vines on my face, attempt to recreate a Zorro style "LB" on a mirror, or perhaps create a bandoleer out of lipsticks? It was too much so I settled on a simpler, French courtesan inspired masquerade mask. C'est le masque d'un hors-la-loi très chic, non?

I must admit, I was almost tempted to leave the house wearing this makeup. Apart from Halloween, what adult has the opportunity to paint their face in such a fantastic, mysterious manner?
