Sleek Blush By Three and Giveaway

At this point I'm sure my love of Sleek Cosmetics is evident. I haven't yet met with a Sleek product I disliked which makes the (seemingly) exorbitant shipping charges to have the items sent from the UK justifiable. When I discovered that Sleek would be releasing blush trios I was over the moon. Unfortunately these palettes are available for purchase in store only which means that international Sleek lovers are at a bit of a disadvantage. Cami of Cami Loves Kiwi was even so kind as to look in store for me, but much as I'd expected the blush palettes became difficult to find very quickly.

The Blush By Three palettes come in five different color choices: Pumpkin with orange based shades, Sugar with creamy browns and soft reds, Lace with soft shimmery pinks, Pink Spirit with very loud pinks and Flame with deep reds. (Wonderful swatches of four of the five palettes are available on Cecilia's blog A Vain Woman.) I immediately knew that I desperately wanted Sugar. Though I've had largely good experiences with eBay, I consider it a last resort. In this case it came in handy as I was able to purchase the Sleek Blush By Three palette I'd most wanted.

The size of the pans in the Blush By Three palettes is about two thirds the size of a standard Sleek blush. Much like their individual predecessors, though, the pigmentation is superb meaning that very little is needed to achieve a pigmented cheek. The smaller pan size is, in fact, more practical.

I was most drawn to the Sugar palette as it offers a shade for every season and every mood. The deeper blushes remind me of the autumn and winter, though they are by no means limited to those seasons, and the lovely coral peach is perfect for the spring and summer months.

Turbinado is a completely matte, deep dusty rose shade that is quite buildable on the cheeks. I believe Muscovado is my favorite of the three. It's a beautiful shimmering rust red color. Though it appears quite brown in the swatch below, it gives my pale cheeks a lovely raspberry glow when carefully applied. Finally, Demerara is a nearly matte deep peach something akin to a pumpkin shade. It's been perfect for the lovely spring weather and leaves the cheeks with a light sheen not unlike that of a MAC Mineralize blush.

Bottom line? I adore this palette as much as I do the many other Sleek products in my collection. For an affordable drugstore/high street brand I've been consistently blow away by the wonderful quality.

Because these blush palettes are quite hard to find I was certain that I wouldn't be the only one looking to get my hands on one of the four. When I found Sugar on eBay I was able to order the Pumpkin palette for a giveaway! These shades are absolutely stunning and will be perfect for the warm summer months ahead.
