Chanel's Autumn 2012 collection absolutely screams crisp wind, earlier sunsets and chilly evenings. Though many of the products in the collection appealed to me, none stood out quite so much as Le Vernis in Frenzy and the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Troublant.
I cannot help but adore Frenzy, a shade that seems evocative of the cold autumn wind (if wind had a color, of course). As I mentioned above, the polish truly stands out from the many of greys currently available. More reminiscent of smoke and steam than a stormy sky this color is sure to be a hit and it's only a matter of time before brands following in Chanel's footsteps will be releasing imitations.
Troublant is exactly what I've been waiting for. I adore the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss formula and would go so far as to say that it's my holy grail gloss. However, the color range was severely lacking in plum which happens to be my favorite shade to wear. I'm thrilled with Troublant and can't wait for the cooler months as I'm certain I'll be wearing it frequently.
Though glossier and more sheer, Troublant reminds me quite a bit of my new favorite lipstick, Chanel Culte (reviewed here). If you've been waiting for the perfect plum gloss from Chanel look no further!
Have you purchased anything from Chanel's Autumn 2012 collection? What are the "must haves" of the collection in your opinion?
