Now that my order of NARS Fall 2012 products has arrived, I can also safely say that the lipstick lives up to my expectations. A brassy orange toned red with subtle flecks of gold shimmer, this is the perfect way to amp up your pout on a cold autumn day.
The leaves in the photograph above have withered prematurely due to absurdly hot temperatures, but they certainly reassemble their autumnal cousins. Whatever their season of origin, it's not hard to see how similar the product is to its namesake. Comparisons to leaves aside, this shade can most aptly be described as a glowing brick red and though I don't own Hourglass Siren the shades do seem a bit similar.
Autumn Leaves gives the lips a glowing, luminous red appearance that's difficult to ignore. While I'm not certain I'll wear this lipstick until the temperature cools, I can imagine why this would be a true jaw dropper on a cold day. With the backdrop of a cold sky, nothing would stand out more than this lipstick ... and the leaves themselves, of course!
What are your thoughts on NARS Autumn Leaves lipstick? Do you plan to rock this bold foliage inspired shade come fall?
