The Everyday Face

As a "liner girl" for years, it was hard to envision a time that I'd fore go liner all together in favor of a more subtle look. During my teen years I'd wear a thick line on the top and a thick line along the bottom lash line to exaggerate the almond shape of my eyes. By the time I reached university I'd grown sick of the thick black liner and opened up my eyes by lining my waterline with an illuminating shade (most often Stilla Topaz) and wearing winged liquid liner every day.

Though I still adore the look of a subtle cat-eye, I've been skipping liner this summer and loving it! The rest of my makeup routine hasn't much changed, but it's been nice to speed up my mornings and add focus on my lashes and brows.

Skipping a step is quite nice, but more than anything else I've realized just how awake I appear with only illuminating products around my eyes. The refreshed look is also invaluable during the sticky, exhausting summer we're in the midst of!
