Honey, I Found a Dream Team!

Like many who suffer from dry skin, eczema and the occasional frustrating and painful patch of psoriasis, finding the right products for my skin can be a challenge during the winter months. I often use products that many would consider winter strength only during the summer and need to pull out all the stops as soon as the thermometer drops below 40 degrees. Apart from my precious L'Occitane Huile de Douche and Huile Tonique I think I may have found a dream combination of products that will serve me well as the weather continues to get colder.

Today I bring you two of Lush's most well regarded products: Honey, I Washed the Kids (USD $7.95/3.5 oz) and Dream Cream Body Lotion (USD $26.95). The combination of these two gems has been absolutely indispensable for me over the past few weeks as the cooler weather begins to make it difficult for my dry skin to stay moisturized.

Honey, I Washed the Kids is a must have for those of you that love milk and honey scented products. The honey fragrance is definitely present while I use the soap and after I hop out of the shower, but it lingers subtly rather than overpowering the senses. Due to my dry skin I typically avoid soap in bar formunfortunately they leave my skin feeling cleansed but stripped of all natural moisture and oils. Honey, I Washed the Kids is the exception to this rule: the honey water and aloe makes this bar soap silky smooth while I'm washing and after I've dried off.

Lush cites Dream Cream as their number one, best selling product of all time. The lotion has a reputation that precedes itself as it purportedly reduces redness, soothes chapped skin and doesn't irritate those whose skin is very sensitive to a plethora of ingredients. Following a tip my dermatologist told me years ago, I leave the bathroom door closed to keep humid air in the room and pat the water off with a towel. I apply Dream Cream immediately after doing this to lock in as much moisture as possible. Et voila, Dream Cream truly is as incredible as it would seem. My skin feels baby soft and smells of lavendera winning combination that I'd be hard pressed to ignore!

When paired together Honey, I Washed the Kids and Dream Cream are the ultimate wonder duo for those who suffer from uncomfortable dry skin during the cooler months. Not only do these products leave the skin feeling and smelling great, but they also lock in much needed moisture.

Above all else the combination of Lush's two star products leaves me feeling like I've just bathed in Provence, France. The marriage of rich, creamy honey soap followed with a smooth milky lavender lotion reminds me of two of Provence's greatest products and the lovely weather there ... each bath and shower becomes a mini vacation!

Have you tried Honey, I Washed the Kids or Dream Cream? What is your absolute favorite Lush product of all time?
