Seven Things Sunday

The leaves are almost completely changed to beautiful colors and many have already fallen to the ground. It's crisp but sunny outside and I have a cup of black coffee at my side. Can't every day be Sunday? "Seven Things on Sunday" was born on a similar lazy day when I craved an easy (not quite so labor intensive) way to share a current list of things I'm loving, liking or (very rarely) disliking.

One. A much needed hair cut! I'm sure that my hair still looks long in the photograph below, but yesterday I had my stylist take off upwards of four inches! Every now and then I get busy with work and life and suddenly realize it's been six or seven months since my last cut. With hair as thick as mine that's just not an option. My hair is back to feeling light and bouncy ... and no more neck aches!

Two. Fireplace season. My husband and I are lucky enough to have a fireplace. All summer I count down until it can be used again, and I'm thrilled that I can once again enjoy the fire, a few candles and a hot drink on a cold night.

Three. Dreary autumn weather and farmers markets. My state has a magnificent farmer's market that sets up all the way around our capitol square. As you can imagine the selection is quite extensive and the products available are delicious and farm fresh. My husband and I made the trip this past weekend to celebrate the harvest season and purchase the last farm fresh products we could before the long winter.

Four. New boots. After years of longing I finally treated myself to a pair of Frye boots. I anticipated that it would take far longer to break them in than it really did, and I'm happy to say that after a week my babies already fit me like a glove. Now that I know how wonderful and high quality they are, I'm afraid I'd like another pair in black ...

Five. Lush baths on cold nights. Though I love taking relaxing baths year round, there's something about cold weather and dark nights that calls for fragrant soothing water. Despite my love of Lush that dates back over a decade when my mother and I discovered a Lush shop in Toronto, I'd never actually tried one of their most popular Bath Bombs, Sex Bomb*. The entire bathroom smelled of jasmine—it doesn't get any better than that!

Six. A heavenly new scarf. If you're interested I should probably take a photograph of the scarves that I have as collecting them seems to be an obsession that rivals my love of cosmetics. About a week ago I stumbled across this white and blue beauty in a boutique near my office and couldn't say no as soon as I laid my hands on it ... the fabric is incredibly soft!

Seven. A few magnificent blog posts as always ...
My favorite French "blogueuse" Valentine of Hello, It's Valentine shows us her weekend street style!
Vivianna of Vivianna Does Makeup shows us her bedtime beauty routine.
Xiao of Messy Wands shows us how she creates a brown smoky eye (and her incredibly chic new haircut!)

What are your seven things this Sunday?
