During Beauty.com's 20% off sale I found myself impulsively ordering yet another costly lip balm that's long graced my wish list: Eve Lom's Kiss Mix.
Eve Lom's Kiss Mix is deserving of its name for two reasons. To begin with the emollient balm applies like a slightly thicker version of the famous Korres Lip Butter. A certain bounce combined with a thin creaminess helps the balm coat the lips adding a moisturizing layer directly on top of the lips or atop one's lipstick of choice. The next reason involves the subtle peppermint tingle Lom's Kiss Mix imparts when applied. Though I tend to avoid minty lip products (my super dry, sensitive pout does not get along with powerful mint) Kiss Mix is subtle and pleasant serving the double purpose of giving the lips a boost and freshening the breath.
Ingredients: Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax), Menthol, Zinc Oxide, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin
Eve Lom's Kiss Mix is different from many of the other high end balms I own. Rather than smelling like a spa or roses (à la By Terry Baume de Rose) this balm aims to please with a more traditional peppermint fragrance. Perfect for the winter months Eve Lom's balm also lasts forever on the lips and the minty fresh zest makes it that much more reminiscent of the holiday season. The final factor that sets this product apart from it's high end fellows is the price. While balms like Baume de Rose retail for upwards of USD $50 or $60, Kiss Mix will set you back only USD $22! Though this price tag is still nothing to sneeze at, it's a far cry from the almost painfully high cost of other luxe lip balms.
Have you tried Eve Lom's Kiss Mix or any other skin care products by the well known brand? I'm eager to explore the rest of the line as my experience with the lip balm has been so positive!
