New In from Butter London

I've long been enamored with 3 free nail lacquer brand Butter London. In fact, one of the very first posts I wrote on Getting Cheeky featured my first two polishes from the line (I'll avoid sharing it here ... the quality of the photography makes me shudder). Butter London has me on two levels: their colors are innovative, artistic and unlike anything on the market, and being a total sucker for names I can't help but fall for the charm that comes with monikers such as All Hail the Queen and East End Wonderland.

Not long ago I found myself playing with fire and browsing Butter London's website when two unique colors caught my eye. I first stumbled upon Jack the Lad and then quickly fell prey to the charms of Posh Bird.

Butter London describes Jack the Lad as an "opaque, moss green shimmer with gold, turquoise and green microglitter." I absolutely adore the look of forest green polishes and prefer subtle glitters for the office. While Jack the Lad appears unapologetically glitzy in the bottle, the glitter is not quite as apparent when the polish is applied to the nails.

Though the name may refer to something else, I can't help but associate the bold coniferous green with Jack and the Bean Stalk.

Posh Bird is described as a "smoky taupe glitter nail lacquer with silver microglitter particles." Posh Bird is exclusive to the United States and was released along with Fishwife, another United States exclusive this time in a holographic turquoise glitter. Though I was surprised at how silver Posh Bird appears when it drys on the nails I think this is a must have for taupe lovers everywhere.

Posh Bird refers to rich and stuffy women, of course. Though I'm certainly not the former and hopefully not the latter I can't help but love the way this polish looks on my pointers!

Did Jack the Lad and Posh Bird catch your eye? You're in luck! Butter London's 2012 Friends & Family sale (30% off!) officially begins tomorrow, November 2nd at 12:01 AM PST and ends the same day at 11:59 PM PST.
