The newest exception to my general disinterest is Michelle Dockery, who I am sure you are now all familiar with thanks to her staring role on Downton Abbey. A sudden deluge of articles and fashion spreads featuring the English actress coinciding with Downton Abbey's third season premier in the United States have pushed me to follow the actresses more closely.
Apart from her incredible talent as an actress, I'm consistently awed by the simple sophistication of Michelle Dockery's hair and makeup every time she makes a public appearance. The Golden Globes were certainly no exception to this rule: from her incredible Alexandre Vauthier dress, to her beautiful hair and subtle yet va-va-voom makeup Michelle certainly stood out. It would seem that no matter who applies Michelle's makeup she always appears with flawless porcelain skin, subtle yet glamorous eye enhancing makeup and incredibly flattering shades on her pout. (The girl can really rock a bold red lip!) Though I'd like to think that a rendition of the actress's signature look already constitutes my makeup style, Dockery certainly serves as a wonderful source of continued inspiration for my own day-to-day looks.
Lisa Eldridge applied Michelle Dockery's makeup for an avant garde piece in Harpers Bazaar Singapore, which showcases her ability to beautifully pull off more editorial makeup as well. For my own part, I think her flawless skin is the explanation for this incredible cosmetic versatility. I'd love to know what products Michelle Dockery keeps in her vanity.
