Cheeky Checklist: February 2013

My very first post on this blog was January's Cheeky Checklist (a post that now makes the improvement in my photography and blogging skills evident), my version of a monthly favorites list that I post closer to the middle of the month to avoid the deluge of favorites that occur at the end of one month and the beginning of the next.

Perfectly suited for the season of love, my makeup routine seems to be coming up roses at the moment. I've fallen even more in love with rose perfumed products, particularly Dr. Hauschka's celebrated Rose Day Cream, and continually find myself reaching for rose shades of every hue. Though I've been keeping my eyes simple with my go-to look of winged liner, rose lips and cheeks seem perfect for February.

After swearing off subscription boxes for quite some time I've finally been pulled in by the allure of Glossybox. A newcomer to American shores (Glossybox launched here in mid 2012) the brand is already well established throughout the world and seem to have amassed quite a bit of know how. It was January's Man Repeller box that finally forced me to take the plunge, though I didn't quite subscribe in time to receive it and owe my thanks for this box to Taylor! Though I'm certain it won't be the case with every Glossybox, I quite literally adore every item I received in this box ... particularly the Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT!

Partially due to Meg of Lips So Facto and Estée of Essie Button's recent posts about their sudden love of all things honey and partially because I've never been able to get enough of the stuff myself, my makeup and skin care routine have seen a rapid increase in honey products. I've been relying on Manuka Honey to treat my beyond chapped lips, and have fallen in love with the charm and quality of l'Occitane's Shea Butter and Honey range. (Isn't the packaging perfect?!)

I fell in love with Phyto hair care products while living in France and have been using at least one of the products from the range religiously since then. (Isn't it great what you discover when a French pharmacy is quite literally a stone's throw away from you at any moment?) PhytoKératine has been a consistent must for my frizzy dry hair but Phytonectar, a nourishing shampoo for dry hair, is a new discovery that is already working wonders on my frizzy mop of hair.
