May Lindstrom Skin The Clean Dirt Cleansing Clay

As I've previously mentioned several times, I have the exact same taste in skin care as one of my favorite fellow beauty bloggers, Taylor of My Lucite Dreams. Whenever Taylor features a product I know I'm bound to love it, so when she shared a picture of a new product by a brand I'd never heard of my interest was immediately piqued. The product in question was by a brand called May Lindstrom Skin, an independent company that I would call an atelier skin care brand. May Lindstrom Skin offers a small, carefully tailored range of products perfectly executed from the packaging to the quality of the products themselves.

May Lindstrom Skin offers four items: The Good Stuff a radiance oil, The Problem Solver a masque, The Clean Dirt a cleansing clay and The Youth Dew a serum. After doing a bit of research and being fortunate enough to speak with May Lindstrom herself briefly on Twitter, I settled upon the self same product Taylor purchased: The Clean Dirt.

From the sleek black packaging embossed with a golden dandelion that is both modern and functional to the beautiful black glass vessel that houses the cleanser itself, the brand's attention to detail is immediately apparent. I'm so smitten with the classic packaging that I can see myself using the glass bottle containing The Clean Dirt as a vase long after I've used the last grains of cleanser.

May Lindstrom Skin describes The Clean Dirt as follows: "An energizing blend of cleansing clays, warming spices and healing salts lifts impurities while a surge of H20-activated Vitamin C encourages cellular rejuvenation and increased blood flow. This stimulating treatment transforms and refines skin's appearance with a potent cocktail of exfoliants, leaving you velvety smooth and gorgeously radiant." By way of explanation May Lindstrom Skin has created videos that feature each of their four unique products in action, a wonderful feature given the individuality of each item. The video demonstrating The Clean Dirt can be found here.

I've been using The Clean Dirt two to three times a week as demonstrated in the video for roughly a month and frankly I'm astonished at the results. Within two uses I noticed an immediate improvement in the feeling and appearance of my skin: hydration, radiance and texture of wintery dry patches were all drastically changed for the better. Though I often grow anxious of exfoliating my sensitive skin, particularly at this time of year when it's most dry, this unique product's fine particles are gentle enough to stimulate rather than strip. On top of it all, the fragrance of The Clean Dirt is redolent of some of the spices within: I'm immediately reminded of shopping in a spice shop, or baking some of my favorite spiced desserts.

The Clean Dirt is available on the brand's website and at Spirit Beauty Lounge for USD $60. Though this is not a budget friendly price, it's in line with other high end cleansers and as far as I'm concerned you'd be hard pressed to find a more unique cleanser currently available. Whether you're a skin care fanatic, or a dry skinned girl looking for a gentle exfoliator then this product is unquestionably worth the investment. I've been won over by the incredibly customer and skin friendly approach of May Lindstrom Skin, a brand that is nothing short of beautiful. Next on my list? The Problem Solver.
