Yet another month has passed and it's already time for another installment of my monthly skin care routine series. Inspired by fellow beauty bloggers, and some of my favorite French bloggers such as La Vie en Blonde and Une Parisienne et Son Chien , I also decided to pen my own version of their famous monthly "Routine de Soin" posts.
As I'm certain you've now come to anticipate, I pledged that on the last day of each month I'd snap a picture of the items I've used all month on the shelf that houses them in my vanity. My Skin Care Routine series serves as a visual skin care diary of sorts, as much for me as for you, as it shows how my skin care changes from month to month and from season to season.
Where I live, April was nearly as cold as March until the very last. Today it's about 85 degrees ... go figure. Though I should be used to the yearly temperature fluctuations from high to low during the spring, my skin apparently is not. This month was about treatment (hello, husband's Effaclar Duo!) while attempting not to compromise my skin's constant need for moisture. Allergies also present a perennial problem as my nose and eyes water and run creating dry patches that are pesky and unsightly. By the middle of the month I'd set on a routine that worked for me: as the weather warms up and allergies decrease I hope to reduce the sheer volume of products I'm using! April's skin care must haves include Talika's incredible lash conditioning makeup remover, A-Derma's Dermalibour for dry spots and Bobbi Brown's Extra Repair Eye Cream for under eyes ravaged by hay fever.

During the second half of April I participated in a two week challenge: for a period of fourteen days I used exclusively Eucerin skin care products (you can read about my experience HERE and HERE). My skin is looking lovely thanks to this challenge, just in time for warmer weather! On the 18th I was also inked with a rather large tattoo meaning that moisture has been a must all month, not an option. Thanks to a dedicated regime my winter wren is 100% healed and ready to be shown off.
