Skin Care Routine: October 2013

*This post contains PR samples.
At the conclusion of October this year I have been forced to confront cold temperatures (and a few snow flakes I'm sorry to say) meaning that these posts have nearly come full circle from last January's mid winter debut. Although I'm always astonished that it's time to write again, and sometimes unwilling to admit another month has drawn to a close, I delight in writing this series inspired by fellow beauty bloggers and some of my favorite French bloggers such as La Vie en Blonde and Une Parisienne et Son Chien. Early this year I too decided to pen my own version of their famous monthly "Routine de Soin" posts.

Much like the months that have preceded this one, I snap a photograph of my most used skin care on the last day of each month. Many items vary greatly from month to month while other core bits I can't be without almost always stay the same. Ultimately my Skin Care Routine series serves as a visual skin care diary of sorts, as much for me as for you, as it shows how my skin care changes from month to month and from season to season.

October's skin care routine has been incredibly good to me at a time when my skin starts to become more challenging. The cooler weather means far more dry patches, and the "busy season" at work means more unruly conditions. Somehow I reached perfect equilibrium this month, meaning that you will likely see many of these gems in upcoming posts and even next month's skin care routine! Of particular note (although it may be a placebo effect  ... and I feel particularly obligated to mention this as I am not a doctor nor do I have any medical training) is the fact that I've been more careful about taking a daily vitamin. This new regimen seems to have made an immense difference in my day to day well being, and I feel a though the impact may also be extending to my much happier and healthier skin!
