Skin Care Routine: November 2013

*This post contains PR samples.
It's difficult to believe that following this post there will only be one more month of Skin Care Routine scribbling before the close of 2013. Although I've loved discussing the products I've been using of my face each month, I'm not certain I'll continue into 2014 unless you find these posts beneficial or interesting. While I've loved writing these posts inspired by some of my favorite French bloggers such as La Vie en Blonde and Une Parisienne et Son Chien I've learned that it can be challenging (and at times tedious) to pen my very own monthly "Routine de Soin" posts.

Regardless of my feelings November's post is much like the months that have preceded it. I snap a photograph of my most used skin care on the last day of each month: while many items vary greatly from month to month other core bits almost always remain the same. Ultimately my Skin Care Routine series serves as a visual skin care diary of sorts, as much for me as for you, as it shows how my skin care changes from month to month and from season to season.

November has been atypically cold. Although the month is usually gloomy, and all the gorgeous color drained from the trees we don't typically see snow. This month has been more like early January than November meaning that unexpected harsh conditions (dry, cold, snowy!) have taxed my eczema prone skin. Fortunately this winter I'm armed with life changing products that have been keeping dry patches and eczema at bay. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to make it through another northern winter without Eucerin's Eczema Relief* range, Ellovi's amazing Butter* or Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Face Mask all of which calm redness, kick dry patches to the curb and help my skin stay hydrated even when wintery winds threaten just outside the door.

Moisturize: Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Daytime Facial Cream*, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum
Cleanse: Bioderma, Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Cleanser*
Treat: Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Face Mask

Decléor Harmonie Calm Gel-Crème Yeux Lacté Délassant Eye Cream (Not Pictured)
NUXE Rêve de Miel, Osmia Organics Honey-Myrrh Lip Repair Balm* (Not Pictured), Le Couvent des Minimes Baume du Sourire
