A Marula Miracle: African Botanics Intense Skin Repair Body Balm

Much like other items that are the subjects of what beauty bloggers and lovers alike refer to as "buzz," African Botanics Marula Intense Skin Repair Body Balm started as a murmur. I'd heard incredible things from various bloggers in the United Kingdom, and then as Space NK expanded to our shores fellow bloggers in the states started to rave about the amazing capabilities of the moisturizing balm.

I've heard African Botanics Marula Intense Skin Repair Body Balm praised for just about every skin ailment from acne scarring to eczema, garden variety dryness and much more. And guess what? It really does work. African Botanics promises "a 100% natural and soothing balm, formulated to repair tissue damage, regenerate cells, reduce inflammation & redness while speeding up the healing process. Stimulates new cells & increases skin elasticity." Packed with ingredients aiming to boost hydration, speed skin healing and improve the tightness of the moisture barrier there are very few skin conditions this sensitive skin friendly balm won't help.

As I've mentioned many times before on Getting Cheeky I have incredibly sensitive skin that is both dry and dehdrated as well as eczema and occasionally psoriasis prone (though very rarely). Despite my love for the winter months, they are the least friendly to my skin which has made the past few weeks the ideal proving ground for the Intense Skin Repair Body Balm. During the last month I've been able to use my new African Botanics treasure on a healing burn, healing and inflamed eczema, chronic facial dry patches, winter dryness on my knuckles and elbows as well as general itchy or uncomfortable skin. The result? While my eczema can be stubborn it felt better, wasn't itchy and actually began to heal. As you can imagine my other dermal grievances also followed suit.

African Botanics Intense Skin Repair Body Balm is certainly an investment, but if you have skin like mine it's an investment worth making ... particularly at this time of year. I've been using this balm since it arrived almost religiously as much for its healing benefits as for its heavenly natural scent.
